Note: State LTC Facility Rules require that Residents must be able to independently perform his/her “Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) [See Personal Care Aide Task] or be moved into to a Higher Level  (MORE) Care Unit. Moving can be very “Mentally Unsettling” for an Aged Person. and this could also involve a move to a new Room or New Facility.  However, many times this can be avoided, IF - the Client, has her/his own “Always-Care Private Duty” or Supplemental Care Person, who is able to assist the Client to over come her/his personal ADL short comings.

Thus, the Always Care PCA or Nurse may provide the solution to “Delay” The Move.

In-Facility

Client is in - a GA “Licensed” Health Care Facility - “Other” than the Client’s Normal Private Home/Residence.

Facilities  provide “Total Care”,  so why hire an extra person?  Many times the Client or Family wishes for the Client to have an additional person with them, if Family or Friends can not be there, for immediate care (when the facility staff is busy), support and comfort.

This is referred to as “Private Duty” or “Supplemental Care”. In these cases, an Always Care Private Duty person can be provided for a;

  • Short Term or
  • a Long Term

Always Care Services are provided in most of facilities as listed below, by either a

  • Personal Care Aide (PCA) [ Similar to PCA Duties In-Home
  • Licensed Nurse (LPN/RN)  [ Per Facility Policies & GA Laws

Note:  Always Care - Does Not Send - Companions or Sitters (CPS) to Heath Care Facilities as Personal Care Aide (PCA) Skills are “more appropriate” for In-Facility duties.
