Looking ahead in 2020
and looking back to 1996
I am proud to wish you and yours
a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Always Care is now into our 46th year of service (Since 1974) to our fellow Georgians.
We are excited – ready as ever, and fully prepared to live up to our Mission Statement.
“Taking Care Of Yours … As If They Were Ours” ®
Locally, and I am sure in other areas, on Friday, December the 13th, 2019, a movie opened in theaters. It is the Clint Eastwood film “Richard Jewell” who initially was accused, but was later proven not to be the bomber at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. It was Filmed in Downtown Atlanta, at the actual site of the blast in the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Park.
Always Care had two Teams of Nurses at the Olympics. No – not competing Sports Teams!
At the request of NBC News, Always Care set up and Staffed Two (2) – “Around the Clock” (24/7) Nursing and First Aid stations for them at two different downtown locations.
When the Big BANG – (the Bombing on July 27th) happened in Centennial Olympic Park, it was close to one of our sites. Our Nurses went into the park, and provided immediate care and assisted other First Responders. Later we served several injured people needing follow up care with dressing changes, and other care issues. Nobody asked us to be in the Movie ☹☹☹☹☹
This was covered more in our August 2019 E-Newsletter. If you did not get it and/or wish to see it for more information, please send a request to [email protected], and we will e-mail it to you. Please, use SUMMER 1996 in the Subject line.
